To coincide with the World Expo 2025, the Louis Vuitton City Guide is travelling to Osaka for the first time and publishing an entire edition dedicated to the Japanese port city, just a few hours from Tokyo. The guide features almost 200 must-visit destinations. Much more than a mere touristic overview, this guide celebrates the vibrant life of Osaka as it prepares to take centre stage on the international scene, enriching the usual city guide information with creative original content: a gallery of colour photographs spotlighting prominent local figures in portraits by Kenta Nakamura and a compendium dedicated to the culinary art of 'the nation’s pantry' illustrated by drawings from Thai artist Beya Panicha.
Both a trendsetter and an indicator of what is to come with a finger on the pulse of the developments at the heart of today’s cities, the Louis Vuitton City Guide Series has been exploring the world’s most vibrant metropolises for 20 years. Today, the collection includes just over 35 cities, scrutinised by the educated eye of experts in fashion, design, contemporary art, gastronomy and culture. In Paris, New York City, London and Tokyo, authors and guest contributors from diverse horizons share unique, subjective insights, from the most fabulous hotels to the most sought-after restaurants and the most tantalising boutiques to legendary historical sites.
