Louis Vuitton in Asnières
As the historic home of Louis Vuitton, this emblematic site outside of Paris brings together the founder’s landmark Art Nouveau house, traditional trunk-making ateliers and a renovated gallery space.
La Maison
Five years after founding his namesake Maison in 1854, Louis Vuitton began to outgrow his Parisian headquarters, leading him to relocate to Asnières, a village a few kilometres northwest of the French capital. Housing both the founder’s family home as well as his already renowned trunkmaking operations, the Asnières location remains the heart and soul of Louis Vuitton over 160 years later.
Les Ateliers
The exceptional savoir-faire of the Asnières artisans continues to be passed down today at the very same Eiffel-style workshops where craftspeople still create a selection of pieces including all trunks, exotic leather goods and custom orders.
La Galerie
Alongside the working ateliers, Louis Vuitton has created an exhibition space to host the Maison’s ongoing program of immersive shows. Currently on view is “200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition,” showcasing the imaginative trunks created to celebrate Louis Vuitton’s bicentennial birthday.
