Gustave Fayet

“Gustave Fayet: Collector - Artist Designer” explores the life of a passionate collector and prolific artist. Presented in two parts, the exhibition reunites more than 250 works from his collection — including masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, and Odilon Redon — for the first time in a century and presents more than 350 of his own works, many shown publicly for the first time.

Artistic curiosity shaped Gustave Fayet’s life as both a pioneering collector and an inventive artist. His passion for modern art was matched by his own creative pursuits, spanning painting, ceramics, textiles, and the decorative arts.
