• WOMEN'S FALL-WINTER 2019 POP-UP IN LONDON SELFRIDGES

WOMENS FALL-WINTER 2019 POP-UP IN LONDON SELFRIDGES - Louis Vuitton Fashion NEWS
Louis Vuitton is delighted to unveil the Women's Fall-Winter 2019 collection by Nicolas Ghesquière at an exclusive pop-up store in London Selfridges, open from 18th July.

The pop-up honours Louis Vuitton's Fall-Winter 2019 collection, in which the old and the now collide.

First presented last March at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre within a recreation of the Centre Pompidou, the Fall-Winter 2019 Collection is one in which the debate is deliberately lively, just like the emblematic building that inspired the runway set.

The collection speaks to a vision of fashion, when one is sure of one’s potential and knows with conviction that this is the path to follow. This collection is an invitation to cultural references, featuring “Refinery” sweaters and “Carcass” dresses. The Monogram and the Damier oscillate on accessories in equal time. A graphic juxtaposition surfaces on the new “Monogram LV Pop” and the beginnings of the “The LV Arch”, a bag as classic as it is knowledgeable.

The pop-up space dramatically features special designs recreated from the runway show.

Address: 400 Oxford Street, Ground Floor, London W1A 1AB
Open 9:30am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday. 11:30am to 6pm on Sunday.

Virgil Abloh's second campaign for Louis Vuitton begins as did his first: through the lens of photographers Inez & Vinoodh.

Continually exploring the theme of inclusivity and perpetually building on his past collections, Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh chose Japan, a strong inspiration for his recent Pre-Collection, as the backdrop for his new Fall-Winter 2019 Campaign. Inez & Vinoodh shot the multi-layered and detail-rich collection through the distinctive distortion of the fisheye lens, amplifying its spirit of futuristic nostalgia.

Louis Vuitton unveils the new campaign photographed by Collier Schorr and featuring Léa Seydoux, Samara Weaving and Zhong Chu Xi.

First presented at the Louvre in Paris last March, the Louis Vuitton Women's Fall-Winter 2019 Collection expresses Nicolas Ghesquière’s interpretation of a sartorial melting pot, symbolised by the Centre Pompidou Museum. With its patchwork of patterns, unexpected layering and bold lines, the collection takes a deliberate stylistic stand.

In this new campaign, actresses Léa Seydoux, Samara Weaving and Zhong Chu Xi were photographed by Collier Schorr, with a cast of models preparing backstage at the Opéra Bastille in Paris. The Monogram and the Damier oscillate on accessories in equal time, introducing both new shapes as well as new iterations of existing forms. A graphic juxtaposition surfaces on the colourful Monogram LV Pop line while the new LV Arch bag stands as classic as it is contemporary.

  • WOMEN'S FALL-WINTER 2019 CAMPAIGN FILM

Directed by Albert Moya, the new campaign features Léa Seydoux, Samara Weaving, Zhong Chu Xi and a cast of models in Nicolas Ghesquière's eclectic collection.

In homage to a certain culture of fashion, where one takes a stand and proudly expresses oneself, Louis Vuitton's Women's Artistic Director dreamt up a collection that is an invitation to cultural references. First presented last March at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre within a recreation of the Centre Pompidou, the Fall-Winter 2019 Collection is one in which the debate is deliberately lively, just like the emblematic building that inspired the runway set.

For the Campaign, actresses Léa Seydoux, Samara Weaving and Zhong Chu Xi, are accompanied by the rest of the cast as they get ready backstage, in this film shot by Albert Moya.

  • TROMPE L'ŒIL MONOGRAM SHAWLS

Playful and unexpected, Louis Vuitton's new textile capsule plays with perspective on four fun designs.

The elegant tone-on-tone Monogram shawl, a mainstay in the Louis Vuitton textile lineup, has been cleverly screen-printed and embellished this season to create eye-catching optical illusions. Four instantly recognisable designs appear to float on the shawls: the Petite Malle bag, the Archlight sneakers, the Party sunglasses and the Maison's signature chain handbag handles. Details such as the Monogram canvas, high-shine pigments and metallic studs reinforce the illusion.
