    Louis Vuitton presents a new addition to Virgil Abloh’s New Classics, the permanent collection of Men’s Leather Goods: Taurillon Monogram.

    The recently launched line of modern bags reinvents the concept of leather goods by embracing the bodies, movements, and attitudes of contemporary masculinity. As Artistic Director of Men’s Collections, Virgil Abloh delved into the Maison’s archives and reworked several historic designs: the Steamer, Soft Tunk and its Mini version, and the Pochette Volga.

    After an initial offering in the Monogram Eclipse canvas, this season, Taurillon Monogram joins the range as a supple leather option with modern matte-black hardware.

    For the new Men’s Campaign, Virgil Abloh continues his study of boyhood—its freedom, its inquisitiveness and its imagination.

    Taking Africa as its starting point, the campaign explores the region from the inside: featuring local talent in local contexts, captured by artists with ties to that region. The first chapter of the African leg of this global journey was shot by Viviane Sassen as an evocative ode to Morocco. From the bohemian spirit of Tangier to the nonconformist magic of the “Blue City” of Chefchaouen, it’s a story of blending cultures told through a mix of street-cast models—from Morocco, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, and Angola—and notable up-and-comers like painter Delfin Finley, skateboarder Tyshawn Jones, and actor Gustav Lindh.

    Viviane Sassen is a Dutch-born artist and fashion photographer who spent her early years in a village in the remote west of rural Kenya. She credits her time there as having a profound influence on her work, learning much from its “bright sunlight and dark shadows” and often returning to its people and places.

    Louis Vuitton is delighted to unveil a pop-up store dedicated to the Men’s Spring-Summer 2020 Collection, in London’s renowned department store Selfridges, from 10th January to March 2020.

    For Spring-Summer 2020, Men’s Artistic Director Virgil Abloh lionises the instinctive, the habitual and the natural. Flowers, a staple element in fashion, are observed as a naturally occurring metaphor for diversity. Abloh continues to play with the theme of boyhood and playfulness as well as Louis Vuitton’s exploration of dress codes and this can be seen throughout the collection.

    Ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories are displayed amongst a field of wild flowers, a visual nod to the collection’s inspiration. A unique “Keepall 50 Flowers” will be exceptionally available at the pop-up. This made-to-order masterpiece, encapsulates the expression of Louis Vuitton’s know-how and craftsmanship. Fully embroidered, the bag’s base is enriched with individually handmade flowers, giving an illusion of fresh flowers.

    Located on the ground floor of Selfridges London, the pop-up is part of a permanent Louis Vuitton concept store with themes on rotation, showcasing a variety of new products from Women’s to Men’s collections, accessories to travel items, presenting the versatility and the continuous search for innovation and surprise, distinguishing aspects of the Louis Vuitton philosophy.

    Louis Vuitton introduces a minimal, new statement earring design called Planète LV.

    The orb-like earrings feature an ingeniously hidden hinge, allowing them to be worn facing both ways: shiny gold engraved with the LV Circle logo or smooth pearly white.
