• MASTERS - A COLLABORATION WITH JEFF KOONS

Louis Vuitton unveils the second collection of bags and accessories designed with the world-renowned contemporary artist on October 27, 2017.

In recent years, Louis Vuitton has affirmed its engagement with the world of art through a series of high-profile collaborations with the most influential artists of our times. The second series of the Jeff Koons Masters collection builds on that well-established foundation, further exploring the intersection of fashion and art.

This month, Louis Vuitton will launch a second collection conceived with Jeff Koons. Recognised as one of the most influential living artists and based on the artist’s “Masters” series of paintings, this second chapter will debut on October 27 and will include: Reclining Girl by François Boucher; Delightful Land by Paul Gauguin; Luncheon on the Grass by Edouard Manet; Water Lilies by Claude Monet; The Triumph of Pan by Nicolas Poussin (exclusive for Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme) and Ancient Rome by J.m.W. Turner.

This new set of paintings relates to Koons’ connection to each of the artists. “They are part of my DNA,” Koons says. “When somebody walks down the street with this bag, or sits in a cafe with this bag,” Koons says of the Manet Neverfull, “it’s communicating a love of humanism.”

Iconic Damier Azur canvas with fresh pink signature, Louis Vuitton introduces its summery collection.

To celebrate summer 2017, the Damier Azur canvas is revisited with an inspiration from the endless summers of paradisiac Tahiti, multicolour sunsets and stunning beaches.

A new twisted yet recognisable Louis Vuitton signature, inspired by archives of the House, gives a modern aspect in the reinterpretation of the Monogram. A light pink signature, highly feminine for a summery and radiant allure.

These new prints are available on Louis Vuitton’s most iconic models such as the Keepall, the Speedy and the Neverfull. This new transversal print story, also seen on accessories and shoes, perfectly mixes with the summer feminine silhouette.

Resource your bottle for long-lasting luxury

Since its founding, Louis Vuitton has sought to create objects that last, articles that are passed down from generation to generation. Naturally, its perfume bottles, which are refillable, carry on this sustainable tradition.

To have a bottle refilled, one needs to simply bring it to the nearest of the House’s boutiques. Each store maintains various perfume fountains, avant-garde tools developed specially for these bottles and exclusive to Louis Vuitton. In the space of a few seconds, the empty bottle is once again full, without ever having been opened, as if it were a sort of futuristic capsule. Not a drop of fragrance is lost. The perfume never comes in contact with the surrounding air, and so remains perfectly intact, identical to the original. The House’s bottles are thus an effective and innovative way of helping to preserve the environment.

They are also a way to pay homage to the Fontaines Parfumées, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud’s workshop in Grasse, in Provence, where perfume bottles were already being refilled at the source starting last century.

Louis Vuitton latest advertising campaign, "Spirit of Travel", at the heart of Paris.

The photographer Patrick Demarchelier has captured the essence of the Louis Vuitton woman, embodied by the actress and friend of the House Michelle Williams.

Taking its name from "rue des Capucines" in Paris, where Louis Vuitton opened his first store in 1854, the elegant Capucines handbag is softened by a delicate and feminine cut inspired by the lace croquets technique. A homage to exceptional leather craftsmanship.

The Objets Nomades Collection, enriched with 10 new items, will be presented during Fuori Salone in Milan, from April 4th to 9th at Palazzo Bocconi.

Created in 2012, the Objets Nomades collection keeps alive Louis Vuitton’s long tradition of beautifully crafted travel objects. Some of the world’s most renowned designers have since imagined stunning travel-inspired Objets, which have then been made by Louis Vuitton.

The limited editions and experimental prototypes that make up the Objets Nomades collection all pay homage to the House’s special orders of the past and add the defiantly contemporary visions of creative designers from around the world: Atelier Oï, Maarten Baas, Barber and Osgerby, the Campana Brothers, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders, and, most recently, India Mahdavi and Tokujin Yoshioka.

Today, there are 25 Objets Nomades and 10 among them will be presented for the first time during Fuori Salone in Milano. From a hammock to a deckchair, from a swing chair to a foldable stool. Each Objet embodies the same ideals: a love of the beauty of fine materials, the possibility of forms and carefully balanced proportions, complex and meticulous craftsmanship, and close attention to detail.
